Your Child Deserves Expert Dentistry
Dr. Wihlm’s goal is to ensure that children access the best dental treatments available. While she administers most dental services for children in-office, she also relies on a team of dental specialists for certain procedures. If she finds your child will benefit from treatment with a specialist, she will refer you to them and help coordinate treatment.
It’s all about making sure that your child or teen receives superb dental care which supports optimal oral health and general health.
At Wihlm Dental, we will ensure that your child learns the most effective oral hygiene practices. The importance of brushing and flossing will be outlined at appointments, in a way that your child will find easy to understand. Your child will be able to learn how long to brush for, why dental flossing is so beneficial and why regular check-ups are vital.
All information will be delivered with a positive, friendly spirit. At our office, we want children to learn to enjoy taking care of their own teeth. We want them to be proud of their beautiful smiles.
We believe in helping kids to build the right dental care habits, right from the very start.
Schedule Appointment
Dr. Wihlm and the American Dental Association recommend that a child should visit a dentist by age 1, or six months after a first tooth begins to show. We feel so strongly about establishing a dental routine at a young age that we don’t even charge for a child’s first dental visit if they are younger than 3 years old. A child’s primary teeth will usually start to erupt around six months of age. All children and teens should visit the dentist twice per year for check-ups and dental cleanings. More dental care may be needed, but this is the basic recommendation for good dental and oral health.
Now that you know more about pediatric dental services, why not contact our office today? We’ll schedule an appointment for your child at a time that fits your schedule. Our services are affordable and we accept many forms of dental insurance.
